Delete Your Account & Data

This page explains how to request deletion of your Panin Library account and the personal data associated with it, without needing to sign in first. It applies to both library owners (App Users) and library members whose records are stored in the app.

1. If you are a library owner

You can request deletion of your owner account and all associated data in either of these ways:

• In the app: go to Account → Settings → Delete Account, and confirm the request. This begins deletion of your library's data, including seats, member records, staff accounts, and dues history.
• By email: write to support@paninlibrary.com from your registered email address, or include your registered phone number, and ask us to delete your account. We'll verify the request and confirm once it's complete.

2. If you are a library member

Member records are entered and controlled by the library you're registered with — see our Privacy Policy for how that responsibility is split between us and library owners. To have your personal data removed:

• Ask your library owner to remove or deregister you — this is usually the fastest route, since they control your record directly.
• Contact us directly at support@paninlibrary.com with your name, phone number, and the name of your library, if you're unable to reach your library owner or want us to action the request on your behalf.

3. What gets deleted

• Your name, phone number, email, date of birth, gender, address, photo, and any ID proof document on file
• Your login credentials and OTP verification records
• Push-notification tokens tied to your device

4. What may be retained, and why

Some information may be retained after a deletion request, in anonymised or archived form, where we're required to for legal, accounting, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes — for example:

• Completed payment records and transaction references (needed for financial and tax record-keeping)
• Aggregated, de-identified usage data that no longer points back to you

This retained data is kept only as long as legally required and is not used for any other purpose.

5. Timeline

We aim to complete account deletion requests within 30 days of verifying your identity. You'll receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete.
