Data Safety

Last updated: 30 August 2026

This page is a plain-language summary of how data is handled. Read it together with the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

What may be collected

Why it is collected

To review applications, create and manage membership, provide seat and portal features, maintain accurate payment and attendance records, send important service information, respond to library-related complaints, prevent misuse, and meet legal or accounting requirements.

Who can access it

Authorized staff of the selected library can access membership information needed to run that library. Panin Library and its service providers process data to host, secure and operate the platform. Other students receive only the limited community information allowed by portal settings and the member's privacy choices; they do not receive phone numbers, email addresses, ID proofs or payment history.

Storage, security and deletion

Data is hosted using Google Firebase services. Access is controlled through authenticated accounts and permissions. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Records are retained while needed for membership, security, accounting or legal purposes. Users may request access, correction or deletion through the app, their library, or support@paninlibrary.com.

Communication choices

Essential account and service messages may be sent using registered contact details. Promotional or educational marketing is optional where consent is required. Promotional emails will provide an unsubscribe method where required, and consent may also be withdrawn by contacting support. Opting out of promotions does not stop essential service communication.

Panin Library vs. library-specific policies

Panin Library's Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and this Data Safety disclosure are mandatory platform policies and cannot be changed by a librarian. Each library may separately select conditions for membership, seat use, timings, conduct and related premises rules. Those appear under “This Library's Terms & Conditions” during registration.
